DESCRIPTION:Dear APS Family\, \nEisenhower Park\, October 13\, 2024 — In a remarkable display of unity and community support\, the American Punjabi Society (APS)\, in partnership with the APS Women’s Council and Blood Cancer Specialists\, hosted a 5K Cancer Awareness Walk at Eisenhower Park. Over 300 participants gathered to promote cancer awareness\, prevention\, and fitness. \n  \nThe event was spearheaded by key figures in cancer care\, including Gurmohan Syali\, Chief Medical Officer of Blood Cancer Specialists\, and doctors Tarun Wasil and Jagmohan Kalra. Their leadership emphasized the critical role of community involvement in cancer prevention and treatment. \n  \nAttendees\, ranging from families to healthcare professionals\, enjoyed a day filled with activities. Raffles\, arts and crafts\, health consultations\, and a hot breakfast provided by local businesses made the event both engaging and educational. Vendors and volunteers from various health sectors also contributed by raising awareness about organ donation\, physical therapy\, and blood donation\, essential aspects of cancer care.
