Ms. Anju Kakkar (Asmai Temple) graciously oversaw the arrangements for tea\, snacks\, and lunch for all present. \nStrong support came from the American Punjabi Society — Mr. Gary S. Sikka (Founder & Global President)\, Mr. Mohinder S. Taneja (Senior Vice President)\, Mr. Varinder S. Sikka (General Secretary)\, Vice Presidents Mr. Paul Bindra\, Mr. Ajai Vir Sondhi\, Mr. Ravinder Narang\, and Mr. Jaspal S. Arora\, Pradeep Tandon (Director\, Media & Public Relations)\, and Mr. Mohinder S. Chandok.Ms. Janessa Sondhi (Director Youth Engagement)\, and volunteers – Alissa Sondhi\, Radhika Sardana\, Bhavi Khanna\, Mahi Anand and Ms. Palwinder Bhatti efficiently managed registration and other organizational tasks.\nSetting an inspiring example\, Gary S. Sikka (Global President\, APS) and Ajayvir Sondhi (Vice President\, APS) were the first to roll up their sleeves and donate blood. \nNavneet Sondhi shared\, ”It is heartwarming to see our community respond so strongly to a humanitarian cause. Every donor here has made a difference today\, and when we work together\, we can create real and lasting impact.” \nGary S. Sikka called the camp “a shining example of how partnerships between community organizations can save lives\,” praising Navneet’s “tireless commitment and compassion” as the driving force behind its success. \nGobind Bhatija expressed\, “Serving the community is at the heart of our temple’s mission\, and it was an honor to open our doors for such a noble cause.” \nDr. Tarun Wasil emphasized\, “Blood is a precious resource\, and today’s efforts will directly help patients in need\,” noting the remarkable turnout and collaboration. \n🙏 A heartfelt thanks to all donors\, volunteers\, and partners for making this camp a success! \n📩 For more info:\nGary S. SUMMARY:A Divine Stop :Gurdwara Mal Ji Sahib Darshan
DESCRIPTION:APS Gurudham Yatra – Gurdwara Malji Sahib\nGurdwara Malji Sahib\, located in Eminabad (Pakistan)\, is a sacred historical shrine\nclosely associated with Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This blessed place commemorates the\ntime when Guru Ji visited Eminabad and interacted with Bhai Lalo\, highlighting the values of honesty\, humility\,\nand truthful living. Gurdwara Malji Sahib stands as a symbol of Guru Ji’s universal message of compassion\nand righteousness. \n \nHistory of Gurdwara Malji Sahib\nThis incident refers to the year 1485 C.E.\, when Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was 16 years old and would graze his cattle in this area. Guru Ji was meditating in the cremation ground opposite Lodhi and taking rest under the shade of a Mal Tree when the shade moved away\, leaving him exposed to the sun. \nWhen a cobra snake came out of the bushes and spread its hood over Guru Ji’s head\, the rays of the sun were obstructed by the snake’s hood so that Guru Ji could take his undisturbed rest. \nThe Narwali Incident\nThis miracle was witnessed by the Narwal of Talwandi Rai Bhoi. Narwal became a firm devotee of Guru Ji and later donated 750 Murabba of land\, in the name of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This Thala (place) came to be known as Gurdwara Mal Ji Sahib. \nToday\, Gurdwara Malji Sahib remains a powerful reminder of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s message of truthful conduct\,\nselfless service\, and unwavering belief in the Divine. \n \nAPS Gurudham Yatra – Visit to Gurdwara Malji Sahib\nDuring this profound journey\, the delegation included a blessed visit to the revered Gurdwara Mal Ji Sahib. This Gurdwara holds deep historical significance\, as it is the sacred place where Guru Nanak Dev Ji rested while traversing the region. \nFor the 134 pilgrims from the American Punjabi community\, this stop offered a powerful moment of spiritual connection and reflection on the teachings and extensive travels of the founder of the Sikh faith. SUMMARY:APS at Gurdwara Tambu Sahib: A Site of Reflection
DESCRIPTION:APS Gurudham Yatra – Gurdwara Tambu Sahib\n\nGurdwara Tambu Sahib\, located in Eminabad (Pakistan)\, is a sacred historical shrine\nassociated with Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It marks the divine moment when Guru Nanak Dev Ji\nand Bhai Mardana Ji sheltered under a miraculous “Tambu” (tent) that appeared by Guru Ji’s grace.\nThis holy site is a symbol of Guru Ji’s compassion\, protection\, and spiritual power. \n\n \nHistory of Gurdwara Tambu Sahib\nGurdwara Tambu Sahib marks the sacred spot where Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji sat under the cover of a large\, protective Van tree (sometimes referred to as a “tambu” or tent) after a significant incident in his youth. \n\nAccording to historical accounts\, the Guru’s father gave him money for a profitable trade (a Sacha Sauda or true bargain)\, but Guru Nanak Dev Ji chose instead to use the money to feed a group of hungry ascetics. Upon returning home\, fearing his father’s reaction\, he rested under this specific tree. \nThe site stands today as a reminder of Guru Ji’s strength\, compassion\, and His message of equality\, freedom\, and truth. \n\n \nAPS Gurudham Yatra – Visit to Gurdwara Tambu Sahib\nThe American Punjabi Society (APS) delegation\, led by President Mr. Gary S. Sikka Ji during the Gurudham Yatra (November 20\, 2024\, to December 2\, 2024)\, included a deeply meaningful visit to Gurdwara Tambu Sahib. \n\nFor the APS pilgrims\, the visit to Tambu Sahib was a powerful opportunity to reflect on the core Sikh principle of selfless service (Sewa) and the importance of true human values over material profit. Standing at this site\, the 134 pilgrims renewed their commitment to the moral and ethical foundations laid by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. \nThe visit reinforced the APS’s mission to maintain a vital connection between the diaspora and the foundational historical sites of the Sikh faith in the Punjab. \nJourney Leadership & Personal Significance\n\nAPS President\, Mr. Gary S.
