Message from Women Council chairman

Navneet S Sondhi

Dear Esteemed Members and Guests,

It gives me immense joy and pride to extend my heartfelt greetings to you all at this inaugural Meet and Greet Gala of the American Punjabi Society (APS). As the Chairwoman of the Women’s Council, I stand humbled and inspired by the opportunity to lead initiatives that focus on empowering women and enhancing their contributions to our society.

The Women’s Network is more than a platform—it is a circle of strength, collaboration, and shared purpose. Through our networking luncheons, mentoring opportunities, and fundraising efforts, we create spaces where women can connect, build friendships, and come together to support APS programs. These gatherings combine fellowship with service, ensuring that our collective energy is directed toward making a positive impact.

At APS, our values of Inclusivity, Service, Unity, and Impact guide every initiative. The Women’s Council embraces these principles wholeheartedly. We believe that when women uplift one another, entire families and communities grow stronger. Whether through supporting matrimonial initiatives that foster loving unions, encouraging our youth through mentorship and sports, or raising awareness about Punjabi arts, culture, and traditions, women are vital partners in carrying our mission forward.

Our vision extends into the future as well. With plans to establish a Community Center, women will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming space for cultural, educational, and wellness programs. This will not only strengthen our bonds within the Punjabi community but also share the richness of our heritage with mainstream America.

I take this moment to express my deep gratitude to our President, the Board of Directors, and our patron, Mr. Harry Singh Bolla, whose leadership and support allow us to dream bigger and serve better. Together, we are writing a story of progress, unity, and empowerment.

As I often say: "Together, we serve. Together, we care. Together, we make our community stronger."

Let us continue to empower women, nurture our youth, honor our traditions, and build a brighter tomorrow for all.
