Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman was sworn in for his second term at a high-profile inauguration ceremony on January 12, 2026 (noted in reports covering the event through the following day), at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, NY. The event was a success, attended by numerous supporters, family, and local officials, marking a strong start to his new term. 

The event was a grand display of civic pride, attended by hundreds of community leaders, law enforcement representatives, and members of the American Punjabi Society (APS).

The presence of APS President Gary Sikka and APS Team members underscored the deep-rooted partnership between the administration and the community. The ceremony featured a diverse array of speakers and performers, reflecting the “Place of Tolerance” that Blakeman has championed throughout his tenure.
