I would like to applaud the Punjabi-American community for their numerous contributions to the culture and economy of our nation, and especially our great state. Since their major migration in the 1900s, Punjabi-Americans have shared a colorful heritage, customs, and values with their neighbors through shared foods, festivals, and language.
